I Launched my State Senate Campaign with Support from former governor Jim Douglas
Javen Sears, Candidate for Vermont State Senate in Chittenden Southeast District, with former Vermont Governor Jim Douglas at WVMT hosted by Kurt Wright and Anthony Neri
It was an incredible day in the studio at WVMT 101.3 FM as I officially announced my campaign for Vermont State Senate in Chittenden Southeast District alongside hosts Kurt Wright and Anthony Neri. We discussed the issues that matter most to Vermonters, housing affordability, property taxes, immigration enforcement, and the opportunities and challenges facing young people in our state.
One of the highlights of the day was meeting former Vermont Governor Jim Douglas, who shared his support for my campaign. I had the honor of being the opening guest for him on the show, kicking off a meaningful conversation about the future of Vermont politics and the importance of strong, fresh leadership in the State Senate.
This moment was a powerful reminder of why I’m running: to bring practical solutions, a fresh perspective, and a commitment to serving all residents of Chittenden Southeast. I’m energized by the conversations we had on air and the encouragement from leaders like Governor Douglas, and I can’t wait to continue connecting with voters across the district and across the state of Vermont!
